Teresa Wild (1988)

Teresa Wild's path to becoming a freelance artist took her through several stages of training, and her professional expertise is impressively comprehensive: Wild is a state-certified jewellery designer and a master craftsman in gold and silver smithing. In addition, she has gained professional experience as a porcelain painter and object designer, and today she passes on her knowledge and skills in a didactic manner based on her training as an art teacher.
So, a lot of craftsmanship and a lot of teaching. But all of this is, of course, also a solid foundation for the realisation of artistic endeavours – conceptual mastery and command of materials also characterise her work. Wild's works therefore appeal not only to experts: at the 2022 State Exhibition of Arts and Crafts, the exhibition audience chose the following work, which was still unknown at the time, resulting in Teresa Wild being awarded the Audience Award at the State Prize ceremony.
